Navigate Darwin
Sign In to the Right Instance
Section titled “Sign In to the Right Instance”Sign in with your email address and password. If your account belongs to more than one Darwin instance, select the instance where you need to work.
Each instance keeps its own projects, catalog, users, and records. Confirm the instance before creating or updating anything.
If you belong to only one instance, Darwin takes you directly into the application.
Use the Application Frame
Section titled “Use the Application Frame”The sidebar is available throughout the application. It groups the main areas of work:
- Start for new requests, assisted module creation, files, and standalone viewers.
- My Organization for projects, work requests, tasks, activity, and cost control.
- Catalog for reusable modules and the material, labor, expense, and price data that support estimates.
- Configuration for reference data and administrative setup.
On a mobile device, the same navigation opens in a collapsible drawer.
Find Work Quickly
Section titled “Find Work Quickly”Use global search to locate records such as projects, clients, suppliers, and modules from anywhere in the application. Search helps you navigate to a record; it does not change data by itself.
The Tasks item in the sidebar shows a badge when you have work requiring attention. Open it to see what the task refers to, then continue on the linked request, project, or estimation.
Set Your Working Preferences
Section titled “Set Your Working Preferences”Use the theme control to switch between light and dark appearance. Darwin remembers this preference when you return.
Use Log out when you finish working, especially on a shared device.
