Darwin Drive
Darwin Drive is a unified document access experience across the platform. Instead of browsing files only from one project at a time, Darwin Drive helps users navigate files by entity and recent activity.
What Darwin Drive Brings Together
Section titled “What Darwin Drive Brings Together”- Project files — documents, drawings, and specifications attached to projects
- Client files — documents associated with client records
- Supplier files — qualification docs, certificates, catalogs attached to suppliers
- Module files — documentation, drawings, and specs linked to modules
- Recent files — quick access to recently viewed or updated documents
- Folder navigation — browse files organized in a folder structure
Why It Matters
Section titled “Why It Matters”Darwin Drive turns documents into a platform capability, not just isolated attachments. Instead of searching through individual projects for a file, users can access all documents from a single entry point, organized by the business entity they belong to.
Best Practices
Section titled “Best Practices”- Organize files into clear folder structures (Drawings, Specifications, Quotes, Contracts)
- Upload documents to the relevant entity (project, client, supplier, or module)
- Replace outdated files instead of uploading duplicates to keep the drive clean
- Use consistent naming conventions for documents to improve searchability
